Refund Policy

1. General Position

As a digital-only institution, ILMAcademy's products are delivered immediately and irrevocably upon payment confirmation. Once a download link has been dispatched to your registered email address, the digital product has been fully delivered and the transaction is considered complete.

Accordingly, and consistent with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, ILMAcademy does not offer refunds as a matter of general policy. Exceptions are limited strictly to the circumstances described in Section 3.

2. Legal Basis

The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the E-Commerce Rules, 2020 recognise that digital goods delivered electronically are exempt from standard return and refund obligations once the digital content has been made available to the consumer, provided the consumer was clearly informed of this policy prior to purchase.

This policy is displayed prominently on our platform and is accessible prior to checkout. By completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read and accepted this policy.

3. Eligible Refund Scenarios

A refund will be processed in the following specific circumstances:

• Duplicate Charge: Your payment method was charged more than once for the same order. We will refund all duplicate charges in full within 7 business days upon verification.
• Non-Delivery: Your download link was not received within 24 hours of payment, you have checked your spam folder, and our support team is unable to resolve the delivery within a reasonable timeframe. A full refund will be issued.
• Technically Defective File: The delivered PDF file is demonstrably corrupted, password-locked without authorisation, or otherwise unopenable on standard PDF readers. We will first attempt to provide a corrected replacement. If a replacement cannot be delivered within 48 hours, a full refund will be issued.
• Payment Gateway Error: Your payment was debited but no order was created in our system and no download link was issued. Subject to verification with Cashfree, a full refund will be processed.

4. Ineligible Scenarios

Refunds will not be granted in the following circumstances:

• Change of mind after purchase and delivery
• Dissatisfaction with course content that was accurately described on the product page
• Failure to achieve expected learning outcomes or income results
• Purchase of the wrong product (please review the synopsis before purchasing)
• Device incompatibility — all standard PDF readers on all modern devices support our files
• Requests made more than 48 hours after the order date, except in cases of non-delivery
• Products that have been downloaded and accessed

5. Refund Process

To request a refund under an eligible scenario, contact us at support@ilmacademy.shop within 48 hours of your order date. Your request must include:

• Your full name as entered at checkout
• The email address used for the order
• Your Order ID or Cashfree transaction reference number
• A clear description of the issue with supporting evidence where applicable (e.g., screenshot of corrupt file, duplicate bank statement entries)

We will acknowledge your request within 1 business day and communicate our decision within 3 business days.

6. Refund Timelines

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of approval. Processing time depends on your bank, card issuer, or UPI provider and is outside ILMAcademy's control once initiated. We will provide you with a refund reference number upon processing.

7. GST on Refunds

Where a full refund is approved, the complete amount paid — including the GST component — will be refunded. ILMAcademy will handle the requisite GST credit adjustments in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.
